1) Do not be disrespectful. Not to Eric, other members, this site or anything.
- This includes drama of any kind. Drama is stupid and online it's pointless.
-Trust me... thus will result in anything from a warning to a ban.
2) Anything unsuitable for young folk (about PG-13 rating or higher) should be marked as such. Anything that may be offensive please give the warning in the title.
-That way if you have it marked correctly and someone complains, it's probably not going to cause any serious problems.
3) Please no Spam. It's annoying and clogs things up. If you want a spam thread or advertisement thread. Ask. We may make one.
4) Text Speak. no.
-lol, XP and things like that are find but I mean like this "guyz, u r 2 loud 4 me n ma m8z'" no... just... no. Not even little parts ok. Spell correctly. Typos are find but meaningfully removing letters and such is stupid and aggravating to read .
5) Probably the most important rule. Do not go into his personal life.
-I mean, use common sense. Think "Would I want someone to gossip this about me?"
I'm sure you all have juicy gossip about him. Or amazing facts.
6) If you feel that someone is stepping out of line in some way please let an admin know.
-We will take care of it as soon as possible.
7) If you are banned/suspended or something. That is final.
-Because it meant you really stepped out of line. If you create another account once you've been banned you can be banned without warning or explanation.
8) If you give a friend your password, just remember that if they step out of line it is YOU that is being banned.
-So... just be careful is my advice.
9) The admins reserve the right to lock and/or delete any thread that they deem to be spam, as it may affect the running of the forum.
-Spamming includes (but is not limited to) posts made solely to increase post count and those which do not contribute much value to the forum eg posts with little content or discussion. Persistent offenders will receive formal warnings as appropriate.
10) Please... for pictures and sigs, just try to not stretch the forum to much.
-it gets messy and slows it down. So as long as it's not terribly much.
11) Post in the Introduction Section when you join
-I'll be a little more certain that you read these rules... and we will know some basics.
12) Use proper grammar and spelling
-If you need a dictionary or an English grammar book then fine... get one. I understand typos and I understand not being the best at grammar or spelling. But... read over what you type and use proper grammar and spelling as much as possible. If I see you spelling a lot wrong or using bad grammar more then reasonable I will talk to you about it. (DO include punctuation, remember. And not everything is in lower case. Do NOT write a post with no capitalization. But a few missed uppercases are fine here or there.
13) If you sign up, you MUST post.
-There's been a few sign ups but there has been no posting from them. You must post within about 2 weeks. If you don't post in a week I'll PM you, but lets not take it there. If you have time to sign up here, you have time to post in the Intro Section.
14) You MUST post in the intro section.
-When you sign up you will post in the intro thread in this section. Make it clear that you have read the rules If nothing else
15) I'm probably going to clear out inactive members every now and again.
-I hate inactivity. So, if you have a reason to be inactive for a long time. PM me, telling an admin. So if i DO make a sweep, you will be safe. These will be randomly timed. But not all that often so don't worry. I have times when I can't be on either. So Don't think you must be on every day or even week. Just ever so often, to make constructive posts.
16) Use at least an sentence in your posts.
- I've noticed that some people (including myself at times) Just respond to something with 'lol' or some other 1 or 2 words. No more of that. It simply means you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation. If that is the case then do not post.
For any of the rules. If you don't know if it's ok or not. Tell one of the admins. We'll look it over.
Also, Our word rules. Sorry but There has got to be a couple on top. So please. I'm sure we will be very lenient if you are good. =)
