So, how was your Christmas?
Mine was good: We got the family all together (my parents, me and hubby, hubby's parents, hubby's sister and her daughter), lots of food, some shows on tv (needless to say that I watched Strictly come dancing Christmas special ) and a nearly neverending game of monopoly, new version with credit cards instead of money.....
On Boxing Day's hubby and I made special lasagne, and they were good, if i may say so myself ...... They were "special" because they had tiny meatballs instead of mince (which took forever to shape one by one), some Parma ham and Salami and lots of parmesan in the mix. Most relatives liked them, apart from the usual mother in law and niece, but they are fussy eaters so nothing new there .
Oh, and I became the family Ker-Plunk champion on boxing day !
hugs

Sounds great Manu! I didn't feel good, but it went away quickly, we opened presents, grandma & grandpa came over for breakfast which was cinnamon rolls & sausage. Yum! Then at 2:00 we went to another grandma & grandpa's house, opened stockings/presents! Had dinner, then pie! And I started getting a headache...And we went home. We were suppose to drive up to aunts house to have a dinner & see cousins and people, but it got post poned....AGAIN, due to icy roads. BUT they come for New Years anyway. I had a great Christmas! My fav gifs were, Bones Season 3 DVD & a surprise AFI East Bay Hardcore Shirt! I drew my mom a portrait of myself for one of her Christmas gifts! Later I might go buy a good digital camera with my money! Merry late Christmas!

Sounds like you both had a good time. I didn't do anything on Christmas except stayed home with my sis and watched the Lakers/Celtics game (The Lakers won, woo hoo!).
On the 24th, I went to my grandparent's house with my mom and sis. We had Christmas dinner and watched a show where these women were singing Christmas songs. I don't remember what it was called. Then my sis and I went to my Dad's house and we went out to Dennys, which is a sit down place, but not fancy at all, however I have not been out to eat in about 6 months, so that was nice. My favorite present was this pretty bracelet that my grandma and grandpa got me and a book of scary stories my mom got me. I got a lot of good things though.

Sounds nice Maggie, it's always good to go out for a meal, I don't even like too fancy places, they make me feel unconfortable Manu

I think it's fascinating to read about how other people spend their Christmases!
I spent Christmas Eve morning at the hospital waiting for my appointment (the doc was running over an hour late!), then my sister arrived after lunch with her two doggies to spend Christmas with me. We went to Midight Mass with my dad on Christmas Eve, which is my favourite part of Christmas. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we went to mum and dad's. We are all veggie or vegan so the meal was quite understated (but yummy!) and then we went for a long walk with the dogs before collapsing in front of the TV in the evening. We usually stay there till late both nights (they only live around the corner lol) and then my sister went home on Saturday.
I wasn't well all over Christmas - really bad sinus infection so I couldn't breathe, sing carols or taste anything, but I tried not to let it spoil things. I'm off to the doctor this afternoon to see if he can fix me lol.
I won't be doing anything on New Year's Eve because I hate it! I stay in with a box of choccies, a DVD I haven't seen and usually finish a tapestry off in peace and quiet!!! Then I phone my parents and sister at midnight and go to bed.
I'm glad you all had good Christmases. What will you be doing on New Year's Eve?

Hi Rain, sorry to hear that you haven't been well for Christmas, I hope you'll get better soon We don't have much of a program for New Year's eve as well...mostly because my hubby doesn't like much fuss about it. I guess we'll stay in with snaky food and something nice to watch on tv. When I was in Italy we used to have parties with my friends on New Year's eve, it was fun, I miss them a lot. Manu

Here is my New Years eve regimen. Ok, my sis and I share a place, so she is always here with me. We watch whatever channel is showing the ball drop in times square, but we don't turn to the channel till about 2 min. till. Then we count down when the ball drops, shout "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" and then we proceed to put our arms around each other and sing "Old Lang Zine" (I know I didn't spell that right). After that, we go on with our lives, lol. Oh yeah, I always buy snacks, poppers (these things you pull and prizes come out) and horns to blow, just for the fun of it.

Sounds good Maggie, you surely had more fun than me ! Hubby was in a bit of a weird down mood so we just stayed in and waited for midnight, with not much enthusiasm. Luckily he was in a better mood on New Year's Day Manu

Oooh, I can't resist telling you that I was at a party a couple of years ago and Robert Pattinson was at the bar. The girls I was with came over all unnecessary about it LOL and, since there was a spare seat at our table, I asked him to join us, which he did, for almost an hour. Hehehe - I was a hero for a while LOL He was a nice guy but seemed quite bewildered at the attention he was getting. Anyhoo, hope your exams went well, Charlie!

If it's ok for me to ask, how come you are getting home schooled Daphne? Also, are you glad about it? I always wanted to be home schooled when I was a kid so I didn't have to deal with the people at my school.
Charlie, I understand about being busy. I don't get a chance to stop by here very often either. It's nice to see you when you are here though.
I'm not really into the Twilight books or movie, but my friend is. I like vampires too, I guess I'm just not into those vampires.
