Hi everyone! I wanted to show you the journal that I made. It has a tapestried front cover, a satin-backed back cover and twenty pages, each of which has one of five small "sketch-style" images of Eric in the bottom right-hand corner. Hope you like it! rain x Sorry about the size - I tried everything to make them smaller! I'll give them a few days so people can see them, then I'll remove them!

Ohmigosh, yet again my jaw drops at seeing someone on here's artistic abilities. I sure do hope Eric sees threads like these; he has got some wicked talented fans! Granted, I'm not a mod, but I'd say the sizes are just fine Wow wow wow.

I believe the front looks sewn, the little pictures look sketched. Is that correct? I can't think of the type of sewing on that cover, the name escapes me at the moment

I'm so glad everyone likes it Yep, the front cover is sewn, or stitched, - tapestry on canvas. The small pictures inside were actually done digitally, though - I can't draw things so tiny lol. If you want to have a look at more tapestry work that I've done, I've got a website here: www.rainbowsparkle.freeserve.co.uk/Home.htmI went to check it today and - horrors - I haven't updated it for almost two years!! This is partly because I didn't do any work for a while because I injured my wrist and partly because I got a new pc last November and STILL haven't installed my FTP software to manage it. I built the site years ago with my own fair hands long before people offered "ready-to-go" sites online so I need to still have all the software I built and uploaded it with in order to manage it! Pants! Anyhoo...

Daph, they've got kits for that kind of sewing in any kind of craft stores. They have it set up, if memory serves, as like a paint by number; they give you the thread, (I think the dull-ended needed to thread it along with), the white thick screen looking base and directions showing where to sew with what. I used to do those when I was younger. They are super fun

Thank you LOL. Actually, this conversation got me thinking - if anyone would like to have a go at doing a cross-stitch or tapestry of Eric themselves, I can make you up a kit for around £25 ($50) - expensive, I know, but it would include, the chart, the key, the silk/wool, the canvas and a needle - or I can send you a chart for about £1.00 ($2.00) and you can figure out the materials and stuff yourself. You can choose your own photo of him, too. Also, I'll tutor via email anyone who isn't sure what to do... Anyhoo, tis just a thought.
